Two fine covers from a second hand bookshop, North London. Almost as new: safely stored in a bookcase somewhere for years before ending up on a table in the street, transferred to a brown paper bag, into my backpack and transported by tube to west London and onto another bookshelf.
I have something for you…
Gift bags for friend's children accidentally spell out the name of renowned Australian musician.
What are the chances of that?
I spy with my little eye something…
Careless pictures through a window speeding between Sydney and Brisbane, 34-38 degrees celsius.
Archie and The Bear…
Advance copy of a new picture book, Archie and The Bear by Zanni Louise (Little Hare Books) out in Spring. It's a black bear, and a little grizzly. You would be too if your jumper was too tight.
These crows make a lot of noise...
During a heatwave…
Go swimming.
Birds and animals I have seen…
Dead crow displayed on an old stump.
Birds and animals I have seen…
Two birds in the hot sun.
Ink on paper...
All the latest styles are now in stock...
I'm drawing shoes (one hundred pairs in five days) for a book. I know more about shoes than I ever thought, before I started drawing them. They're very familiar, I guess I observe them without thinking about it. The problem is I tend to draw them pointed in the same direction, maybe because I'm right handed. I just don't know. But I have the same issue with noses.
No two the same.
You'll grow into them.
If it's not in the window it may be inside.
